Directions by Car FROM THE SOUTH (RHODE ISLAND): Follow Interstate 95 North to Massachusetts exit #12, which will put you on to Interstate 93 North toward Boston. Take I-93 North Exit 26 (STORROW DRIVE). See I-93 North Exit 26 continuation below. FROM THE SOUTH (SOUTH SHORE): Follow Route 3 North until it turns into Interstate 93 North, heading toward Boston. Take I-93 North Exit 26 (STORROW DRIVE). See I-93 North Exit 26 continuation below. Continuation of I-93 Northbound Exit 26 (Storrow Drive): As you exit the tunnel, stay left for North Station/Leverett Circle/28N. Immediately after the second traffic light, turn left. At the next light under the stone arch bridge, take a right onto the O'Brien Highway (Rt. 28N). The Museum is on your left. The parking garage is at the far end of the building. Bring your parking garage ticket into the Museum for validation. FROM THE NORTH (N.H.): Follow Interstate 93 South to Exit 26 (Storrow Dr./North Station). Follow signs for North Station/Leverett Circle/Rt 28N until you come to a traffic light. Take a left at the light towards Cambridge. At the next light, turn right onto the O'Brien Highway. The Museum will be on your left. The parking garage is at the far end of the building. Bring your parking garage ticket into the Museum for validation. FROM THE NORTH (Maine): Take 95S to exit 50 towards RT 1 South and then follow Rt 1 South directions below. FROM THE NORTH (NORTH SHORE): Follow Route 1 South and go over the Tobin Bridge (the toll is $3 for cars) and through the City Square Tunnel. Then follow signs to Storrow Dr/North Station and then N. Station/Leverett Circle/Rt 28N. At the end of the ramp, take a left after the traffic light towards Cambridge. At the next light, turn right onto the O'Brien Highway (Rt. 28N). The Museum will be on your left. The parking garage is at the far end of the building. Bring your parking garage ticket into the Museum for validation. FROM THE WEST: — Alternative Route for cars only: To avoid Storrow Drive construction delays or for a more scenic route (great views of the Boston skyline and the Charles River), take the Mass Turnpike (Interstate 90) East to exit #18 (Allston/Cambridge). After the toll booth ($1 for cars), take the ramp to the right. Go straight through two traffic lights and over a bridge. Take a right at the next light which is Memorial Drive/Route 3 South. Go straight through one traffic light. You will come to a split in the road, stay left. You will come to a second split, this time stay right. Go through two more traffic lights. At the third light, take a right on the O'Brien Highway (Rt. 28). The Museum entrance will be on your right. FROM THE NORTHWEST: Follow Route 2 until it turns into Memorial Drive. Follow Memorial Drive along the Charles River (on your right) to the end. (Note: at the Longfellow Bridge stay right {the sign says Cambridge}. If you go left you'll end up downtown.) At the lights turn right onto the O'Brien Highway. The Museum will be on your right and the parking garage is right as you turn the corner. Bring your parking garage ticket into the Museum for validation. FROM FANEUIL HALL: Take Congress Street heading towards downtown to State Street, where the Old State House is located. Turn right onto State Street and follow it to Cambridge Street. Turn right. Take Cambridge street to the end and follow signs for Storrow Drive East. Follow Storrow Drive to the end. Stay in the left lane as you approach Leverett circle, and turn left onto the O'Brien Highway. The Museum is on your left. The parking garage is at the far end of the building. Bring your parking garage ticket into the Museum for validation. FROM LOGAN AIRPORT: As you leave the airport, follow signs for "Boston via The Sumner Tunnel". (There is a $3.00 toll.) Get in the right lane to exit the tunnel and enter the new Liberty Tunnel labeled Storrow Dr./Rt 3N. This links you to Exit 26 off I-93. See I-93 North Exit 26 continuation above. Directions by Public Transportation FROM THE MBTA: Take the LECHMERE Green Line Train to the Science Park* stop. The Museum is 200 yards from Science Park station. *The Science Park stop is not wheelchair accessible. The most accessible route for people using a wheelchair is Park Street station (Red Line) to Lechmere station (Green Line). To Get to the Green Line from other lines, take: The Amtrak Train from the South stops at Back Bay (Orange Line) and South Station (Red Line). The Commuter train from the North makes its final stop at North Station (Orange and Green Lines).
