Join the STC Community Service Committee.
The goal of the Community Service Committee is to involve STC members in community service activities in and around Boston. It's your chance to "give back" to the community and take part in a variety of events. We offer referrals to volunteer projects that you can pursue yourself, as well as group activities in which you can participate.
If you're looking for a volunteer project to pursue on your own, use the following links to learn about volunteer opportunities with various organizations:
If you'd like to participate in a community-service activity with fellow Boston Chapter members, the committee organizes groups to participate in fund-raising events. Boston Chapter friends and family are always welcome at these activities.
Some of the activities we are planning for this year include:
Other projects we are involved in include:
- The Boston Partners in Education, who oversee 3000 volunteers annually in Boston, want help to redesign their web site. Please contact for more information.
- Volunteer Solutions is looking for people to write users manuals. They are developing web-based services for a number of constituencies and want a user's manual to show how to use their services effectively. Contact Rich Sanford, Executive Director at (617) 623-8387, ext. 117 or .
If you know of a non-profit organization that could use our help in training, developing web pages, or any other type of technical, please contact Lisa White by email at or by phone at 781-663-4609.
We welcome your suggestions and look forward to your participation.
