Technical Publications Competition Entries

Type or block print all required information on the entry form and attach a copy of the completed form to each copy of your entry. No documentation sets will be accepted; each item in a set must be submitted separately. Tear sheets must be bound in some way; unbound, stapled, or single sheets will not be accepted.

Mechanical and Interpretive Illustration - Send ONE copy of the illustration (no originals). All entries must be flush-mounted on a 16" x 20" single-weight or illustration board with a copy of the entry form taped to the back. If an entry requires more than one board, label the boards #1 of 2, #2 of 2, and so on. Original artwork and unmounted entries will not be accepted.
Design Graphics - Send ONE final published copy of all printed materials (books, manuals, periodicals, annual reports, catalogs, flyers) with a copy of your entry form taped to the back. To submit Package Graphics, send ONE actual sample of the final packaging with your entry form taped to the back. You can submit Environmental Graphics (trade show, convention booth displays) and any other oversized entries in the form of original mounted or matted color photographs, 35mm slides, or a videotaped "walk-through" that documents the entire entry. Attach a copy of your entry form to the photograph, slide set, or videotape.
Online Art - A representative must set up the hardware, software, and peripherals required for the entry on Consensus Judging Day. Consensus Judging is at Compaq Computer Corporation in Nashua, NH, on Saturday, November 10, 2001. The judging takes all day. Set up your entry between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., and take it down between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Each entry must provide clearly visible printed or online instructions for launching the online entry, as well as any other important navigational information. This information is critical to the judging process. At the conclusion of the Consensus Judging, each entrant must disassemble and remove the entry from the site.

Entries must be set up for judging at EMC Corporation in Hopkinton, Mass., all day on Saturday, November 10, 2001. Plan to provide all software and hardware required to demonstrate your entry, and set up the entry between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning. You must provide one computer system for each entry. All equipment must be removed between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Entrants are not to be present during judging from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. After receipt of your entry, we will forward more specific information about entry requirements and location to you.

Entries must be available via the Internet at any hour from October 22 through November 5.
