What Is a Telephone Seminar?

A telephone seminar is much like a large conference call where the speaker makes his or her presentation over the phone. You simply dial the 800 number from your phone, enter your personal identification number, and you're connected! You then sit back and listen to the presentations and join in the lively Q&A discussion.

Benefits of Telephone Seminars

Telephone seminar costs are per site, not per person:

An additional $10 will be charged for registrations that are received less than five days before the seminar.

First Seminar: Getting Into Instructional Design

Are you ready for a move into the challenging and creative field of Instructional Design? In this seminar, we will use a self-assessment exercise to help you understand your current skill set and readiness for the move. How does Instructional Design differ from related careers? We will compare the skill sets that are associated with related fields and review sample resumes to illustrate a candidate's "fit" with Instructional Design.

What organizations can help you develop the skills and contacts you will need to make the career transition? What should you look for in higher education programs that can help you gain the knowledge and skills needed? What tools are most valuable for an Instructional Designer? How can you develop a strategy to move into the instructional design field from where you are right now? Constance Billé will present this seminar, which takes place on November 7 from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. This seminar is appropriate for any STC member who is interested in a career in instructional design.
