Scholarships:
The Edward J. Carbrey, Jr., Scholarship 2001 Application Instructions
The Boston Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication is now accepting applications for the Edward J. Carbrey, Jr., Scholarship. The scholarship, given to a deserving undergraduate student in technical communication, is a special tribute to Edward J. Carbrey, Jr., a long-time Chapter member, former Chapter Treasurer, former STC Council member, and STC fellow.
To be eligible, you must:

Be currently enrolled full-time in a recognized undergraduate technical communication program in the geographical area served by the Boston Chapter STC

Have completed at least four technical communication courses (at least one of which must be visual communication or media design)
The chapter selects the recipient on the basis of academic achievement and professional promise, with financial need considered if applicants are equal in other respects. The student selected for the scholarship receives an award of up to $1,000.
To apply, send a completed application form, a current resume, and an official transcript to:

Completed applications must be received by February 1, 2001. The recipient of the Edward J. Carbrey, Jr., Scholarship will be announced in March 2001.
