Competitions2000 Awards Banquet: the STACIEs
Thompson Country Club, Reading, Mass.
STACI stands for STC Technical Achievement In Communicating Information.
It is the collective name for awards given to winners of the annual STC Boston/Northern New England Technical Publications, Technical Art, and Online Communication Competitions. The Oscar, Tony, and Emmy awards are awarded annually in recognition of outstanding achievement in their respective professions.
They represent the highest honor bestowed on performers by their peers. In the same way, we hope the STACI will bring to mind the same standard of excellence and peer recognition and will gain acceptance as an icon for excellence in Technical Writing. In the coming months, we will be providing more detailed information about the STACI Award and the STACIEs Award Banquet in February.
